Strangers of the Deep
After a difficult battle with a misterious alien species emerged from the depths of the ocean, your ship sinks deeper and deeper, until it reaches the bottom of the sea.
While the aliens are coming for you, your only hope to survive is putting on your suit and fight your way out to return to the surface.
Strangers of The Deep is a 2D Exploration Platformer, heavily inspired by games like Cave Story and the Metroidvania genre as a whole.
Find new items, gain new skills and press forward till you find the exit!
Jump, shoot and dash your way through the ocean bed and the alien colony and survive whatever awaits you in the caves!
Controls:
Arrow Keys/Left Stick: Move
Z/A Button: Jump
X/X Button: Shoot
C/LB Button: Dash (Only if you found the Wings)
Shift/RB Button: Grapple Metal Plates (Only if you found the Magnetic Gun)
I/Start Button: Pause
M/Select Button: Map
This game is a demo and a proof of concept created in 4 months by the first year students of GameMaker Academy as a end-of-the-year thesis.
